I am honored to be the new superintendent of Stockton Community Unit School District 206, and to partner with our students, educators, families, and community to ensure we provide the community with educational, vocational, and extracurricular opportunities.
As the Superintendent of Schools, my focus is on our students, and I make a continuous effort to meet students and parents, visit classrooms, attend school events, and build relationships both in our schools and in our community. In my short time on the job I have met many wonderful people from Stockton. I encourage you to introduce yourself to me if you see me around the community or at an event.
A little about myself. I am married to my wonderful wife Janet Bunting and we have three children Allee, Emily, and Justin. Allee graduated from Central Michigan University in May, Emily attends Joliet Junior College, and Justin attends Kankakee Community College. My wife grooms dogs out of our house and keeps the house running smoothly. My college career started at Joliet Junior College and I then transferred to Eastern Illinois University. While at Eastern I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education, Masters in Educational Administration, and Superintendent Endorsement. My teaching career started in Freeport, IL as a seventh grade math teacher for a year. I then moved to Watseka, IL and had been with the district for the past 25 years. I taught junior high math, was middle and high school principal and superintendent during my time in Watseka. I am excited for the opportunity to lead Stockton moving forward.
In quality education,
Stockton CUSD #206
